Singleton Ranches, ranch traditions with an eye for the future. Singleton Ranches comprise the largest cow-calf operation in New Mexico, and including the California Ranches, is among the top six ranches in the United States in terms of total acreage and cattle numbers. The cattle operation is the heart of Singleton Ranches. Every ranch is stocked with mother cows and yearlings are run when grass allows. Singleton Ranches has been raising ranch horses for many years. The program originated by needing to mount many cowboys on strong, dependable, versatile horses. There are more than 50 broodmares that produce horses for the cowboys. They raise their babies in rough open pastures. The horse program has grown to include showing in AQHA, RHAA, WRCA, NRCHA, USTRC, ARHFA, and NCHA. Singleton Ranches carefully select their horses to have superior cow sense, which can be seen in the stallions, who laid the foundation for their breeding program, including two-time AQHA high point Junior Cutting Champion and superior cutting horse Dualwithme (Dual Pep x Cowstruck), A Smooth Edition (Smooth As A Cat x SR My Quixote Lady), SCR Thunder Crackin (Metallic Cat x Smart Crackin Chic), SJR Diamond Motion (CD Diamond x Stylish Little Oak), & The Most Wanted (Once In A Blue Boon x Little Autumn Boon). Singleton Ranches is proud to be the recipient of the 2012 AQHA Best of the Remuda Award. Singleton Ranches is a strong supporter of 4-H, FFA, High School Rodeo, WRCF, community development programs, and several collegiate horse programs.
