Snowdown Durango Spotlight

An annual town tradition

Ward off cabin fever at this incredible winter festival with events for all ages. Founded in 1979 to bring festive fun to the town of Durango during Colorado’s cold winter season, Durango’s Snowdown event is one of the largest annual seasonal celebrations in the state. Each year’s festival has its own unique theme and endless family-friendly activities to the town. Kick off the fun at Follies,

a show performed by local community members to poke fun at the town’s well-known personalities. Next, watch fashion shows, costume contests, eating competitions, and a dazzling parade. Everyone is sure to find something they’ll enjoy at this year’s Snowdown. Open until February 2. Downtown Durango. snowdown.org
