AICC Spring Meeting To Offer ‘Kids In Corrugated’ Crafting Activity AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, announced the debut of an event during the upcoming Spring Meeing that is designed especially for kids ages 5 and up to learn more about—and have fun with—corrugated. The “Kids in Corrugated Crafting Social,” featuring age appropriate corrugated-based projects, will take place from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30. The project should take about an hour and then the kids will engage in a scavenger hunt and other fun activities led by AICC staff and Rich Goldberg. Beverages and light snacks will be provided. A parent wishing to bring a child under the age of 5 must remain with them for the entirety of the event. If you

ND Paper Announces PM 25 Restart At Biron, WI Mill Oak Brook, Illinois based ND Paper an- nounced plans to re-start PM 25 at its Bi- ron, Wisconsin based mill. This machine was idled in April of 2024. With the successful conversion of PM 26 at Biron to recycled packaging and the grow- ing demand for ND Paper’s packaging products, the company said it is pleased to add the capacity of PM 25 back to its portfolio. The machine was rebuilt in 2019 and will be capable of making recycled con- tainerboard and recycled kraft paper. This will add additional capacity to the exist- ing recycled packaging product portfolio when the machine starts up in the second half of 2025. ND Paper currently offers 30#-70# Re- cycled Kraft, 23#-35# Recycled Liner and Recycled Medium. The 100 percent recy- cled furnish is supplied by a newly built 1,400-ton OCC pulping facility and a newly built 700-ton OCC pulping facility. The mill has made recycled packaging since PM 25 was converted from coated publication papers in 2018. PM 26 was converted from coated publication papers in 2022. Biron has established itself as a reliable, quality producer in packaging grades, the company said, and adding the capacity of PM 25 back to the system will provide the ability to serve more custom- ers its breadth of products.
