Dr. Kirstin Milks Recognized by Stanford University Stanford’s Graduate School of Education has selected Bloomington High School South’s science teacher, Dr. Kirstin Milks to receive an Alumni Excellence in Education Award for her commitment in the field of education. Dr. Milks earned both her M. A. and Ph.D. from Stanford. Dr. Milks, teaches introductory science and AP Biology at Bloomington High School South, is receiving the award for her work with students, university faculty and teachers across the country to design authentic science experiences for high school classrooms. She will receive the award on October 13.

MCCSC Announced as Lilly Endowment Counseling Grant Recipient The Monroe County Community School Corporation recently received a $1,072,000 counseling grant from the Lilly Endowment. The counseling grant will help implement promising strategies to strengthen school counseling programs for our students. We would like to thank the advisory team whose collaborative efforts went in to the writing of this grant. Pam L.
