FALL 2022 LIFELINE GOD’S GRACE REVEALED THROUGH YOU
Life-Change Starts Here!
Word of Life BOARD OF DIRECTORS Officers Dr. Donald H. Lough, Jr. President & CEO Mr. B. John Nelson Vice President/Treasurer/Director Lt. Col. Walter R. Price, Ret. Secretary/Director Directors
From the desk of DON LOUGH, JR.
Dear Friends,
Philippians 2:15 tells us that God has positioned us “in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” This means God, as part of His sovereign plan, placed you and me as lights amid the darkness . . . so we can show and share the difference Christ makes in a life. What a privilege! With that privilege comes responsibility. As our Founder, Jack Wyrtzen, would often say, “It is the responsibility of every generation to reach their generation for Jesus Christ.” Word of Life continues to invest in the lives of young people, to equip them to reach their peers with the Truth of the Gospel. When you invest in a life, you never know what God will do! You have faithfully walked with us this year, and it is our hope and prayer that through this report, you can catch a glimpse and rejoice with us over the lives who have been changed because of your prayers and financial support. Please continue to pray with us for those who have experienced life change through our Camps, Bible Institutes or Youth Ministries around the world.

Life Change at Summer Camp Here’s a look at how you made an impact on youth at our Summer Camps in New York and Florida:
I threw my stick in the fire, and my whole cabin did too. It was emotional and life-changing.

Thank You! Your support is changing lives at camps.
I chose to let Jesus have full control of my life. Before, I would ask Him to take the pain away. Now, I’m asking Him to give me faith and hope.

Latin America
Word of Life partnered with Dare2Share for a Day of Evangelism event that was held in multiple countries in Latin America, and simulcasted LIVE to those who could not attend in person. Here’s what one of the organizers, Gustavo Gonzalez, shared about it: What an amazing weekend we had! God showed up in amazing ways, delivering more than what we could have imagined — that is sooo Him! My favorite part was the testimonies we were able to hear from teens from Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico and (the highlight for me) the Peruvian Jungle! The pastor from Peru told us that several teenagers in their community put their faith in Jesus, and he was hosting them later on Saturday to start discipling them! There were 283 faith decisions registered on the app, but I’m confident the number was greater, based on the posts and messages I’ve been receiving. The Gospel was proclaimed almost 2,000 times! Juntos hasta ver las redes llenas. Together until the nets are full.

Throughout the World
Ukraine
Field Leader, Juan Matias Radziwiluk, shares an update about Ukraine:
“We are moving forward with holding day camps and evangelistic events as the summer season continues. There is openness and reception to the gospel like never before. And we have made another major decision for our ministry to move forward: We have decided we are restarting our Bible Institute ministry this fall. We cannot fully function as a Bible Institute under the circumstances, but we are starting a special one-year program that we call the Practical Discipleship Course. Our dream is to have a group of young people who will be instructed in God's Word, who will live in a community of growth, and who will actively serve the needy people of Ukraine during this historic period in our country. In the meantime, we continue to work and pray. Every day is a challenge, but this is our reality. War is horrible, and I wouldn't want anyone to experience anything like this. But as horrible as it is, it will not stop God, His plan, or His purpose. So, we move on with Him. We sow with tears, and we believe that we will reap the harvest with great joy!”

Life-Changing Experiences at Word of Life Bible Institute Each year, New York and Florida Bible Institute students are challenged to share their faith.
Last Year
2,584 Gospel Conversations during our Student Outreach Event
3,628 People heard the Gospel during our Bible Institute Missions Trip
832 Professions of faith resulted from this outreach
Here’s a note from a Bible Institute alumni about how his time at the Bible Institute forever changed his life: My name is Dan, and I attended WOLBI ’87-’89. I came to trust Christ as my Savior during the first month at the Bible Institute. The bottom line is that WOLBI was a watershed mark in my life. I spent 16 years in student ministry and planted a church in 2003 north of Atlanta, Georgia, of which I am currently the Teaching-Pastor. We have had the great privilege of planting one church in the states and assisted 10 other church plants abroad in Africa, South America, and Alaska.
After graduating from the 2nd Year of the Bible Institute, I continued with my education – Philadelphia College of the Bible, Dallas Seminary, and Westminster.
I was stirred to simply reach out in gratitude for the impact that Word of Life has had on me. Simply put, it is impossible to calculate the blessing and value I have for Word of Life.
Did you know: The #1 barrier to attending the Bible Institute is a lack of funding?
Because of generous donors like you, Word of Life is able to provide an average of $4,600 per student in scholarships and aid to those enrolled in New York and Florida. Just think through what God will do students like Dan!
Thank you! Your support makes an impact on our students.
Do you have your estate documents in order? All too often our important documents don’t agree with how we thought our estate was planned. Sometimes, this is a result of not checking beneficiaries on insurance policies and retirement accounts. Other times, it is the way assets are titled. Word of Life Foundation offers a confidential service to make sure your estate documents are in order and are current.
