I f your church does not pro- vide clergy or you want to have a wedding ceremony on location, securing a minister for your wedding is just a phone call away. There are several excellent local minis- ters who are available to officiate your wedding of any size anywhere on the Island. These ministers can also help you select a location, and advise you BE SURE TO OBTAIN YOUR MARRIAGE LICENSE IN ADVANCE AND HAVE IT READY TO HAND TO YOUR MINISTER BEFORE THE WEDDING CEREMONY. on fees and procedures for some out- door locations. If you're planning a very small ceremony or elopement, they can also make suggestions and guide you through the process.
Be sure to obtain your marriage license in advance and have it ready to hand to your minister before or after the cere- mony. Your minister will make sure the witnesses sign in the appropriate place and all the other relevant information is completed. You receive one copy of the license for your records and the other copy, or sometimes two copies, will be mailed to the county courthouse by your minister. DR. JUDY ROBINSON is a long time Island resident serving as your official for ceremonies and vow renewals. She can customize your wedding vows and allow you to include other additions to your ceremony such as candle lighting, a sand ceremony or other unique extras. Contact Dr. Judy Robinson at 937-620- 0423. You can arrange a wedding rehearsal with your minister the day before or simply coordinate the time and loca- tion of your ceremony with them. And of course, they all ride bikes to and from your ceremony. Call them for pricing and availability as well as some simple suggestions for planning your wedding.
