LIVE MUSIC A t a traditional wedding ceremony held at a local church, there is an expectation of live music. But what about a small outdoor wed- ding? SaDee and Nick Haveman have a beautiful love story! They met while working together for four years at the Pink Pony on Mackinac Island, then came back to the Island for their dream wedding at Grand Hotel. Sadee’s Renee Austin bridal gown gave her a touch of classic elegance, and getting ready in the Esther Williams Suite was a special time for SaDee with her bridesmaids. The Tea Garden ceremony on a beautiful October afternoon was nothing short of magical. Following photographs the newlyweds headed out for their romantic carriage ride with photographer Sara Macy capturing special moments along the way, stopping on Main Street, the Iroquois Hotel and the West Bluff for photos. An evening reception was held in the Grand Hotel’s Theatre, with beautiful centerpieces by St. Ignace in Bloom added a gorgeous touch. After their dinner, SaDee, Nick, and their loved ones danced the night away to a live band. Then later that night, a few more drinks and libations with friends at the Pink Pony Bar capped off the perfect day. “For anyone considering getting married on Mackinac Island, I would highly recommend working with Jazell Raycraft at For the Love of Mackinac. She made everything so easy and should be strongly considered in the decision making process! Jazelle did an excellent job making sure our day was smooth and memorable.”
