2. LEADING PEOPLE

Reporting Lines: Reporting to the Director of Estates & Operations Key accountabilities: Reporting to the Director of Estates & Operations, the Transport & Operations Manager has responsibility to provide professional management of transport, cleaning and caretaker management. We are looking for an individual who will thrive in a demanding, multifaceted role, and who will relish the opportunity to take control and shape the effecting running of the department. 2.1 To actively model and promote the values and ethos of the Foundation and to encourage and empower others to work towards the Foundation vision and the Estates departmental aim and objectives. 2.2 To actively promote the professional and personal development of the caretaking, transport and cleaning teams through modelling good practice, celebrating successes and offering support. 2.3 To promote collaborative professional working and development across the whole Foundation. 2.4 To delegate responsibly, monitor progress and to hold others to account. 2.5 To line-manage members of the Transport & Operations team. 2.6 To ensure the Transport & Operations staff understand and adhere to school policies and procedures. 2.7 To take responsibility for the Transport & Operations team, including access to professional development and performance management. 2.8 To be involved in the recruitment of Transport & Operations staff, including interviewing and appointing when requested. 2.9 To lead on the induction and onward integration of new members of the Transport & Operations team.

Responsibilities: 1. VISION AND VALUES

1.1 To provide visionary, mission-focussed leadership for the Transport & Operations team, ensuring that the foundation vision and ethos is clearly communicated. 1.2 To maximise efficiency of the Transport and Operations team whilst providing services that fulfil internal and external customer needs. 1.3 To engage the Transport and Operations team in honest and rigorous self-evaluation. 1.4 As a senior member of the Estates team to participate in operational and strategic planning and risk management. 1.5 To take an active role in the development and organisation of whole Foundation initiatives.
