The Bidfood Catering Supplies Colpac range, focuses on quality products that can be all be recycled in line with OPRL guidelines. Bidfood Catering Supplies and Colpac are both members of OPRL and support the reduction of waste to landfill through recycling. We use the on-pack recycling logo to help the consumer understand how to recycle the pack.

Colpac is an OPRL member. Products with this label contain less than 15% plastic and are classed by OPRL as recyclable.

COMPOSTABLE WINDOW The film material used for these products is commercially compostable within 90 days (EN13432 standard). COMPOSTABLE The paperboard material in these products is commercially compostable withing 90 days (EN13432 standard).

RECYCLABLE The plastic lids/window films used for these products are recyclable. RECYCLED LID The lids for these products are made from recycled plastic material (rPET).

What are the benefits of cardboard recycling?

Cardboard recycling yields fibres that can be made into new cardboard products. Recent studies estimate that fibre-based packaging material can be recycled at least 25 times.

Saves on valuable resources. 1 tonne of recycled cardboard can save up to 17 trees from being cut down.

Reduces the volume of waste sent to landfill. Cardboard is one of the most efficient materials to recycle. Every ton of recycled cardboard saves approx. 6.9m³ [9yd3] of landfill space.

Although Colpac makes every reasonable attempt to test its products for a range of typical applications, Colpac cannot control the specific applications for which its products are used. Therefore, it is the customer’s responsibility to test the suitability of a Colpac product for the customer’s specific application.
