MODIFIED ATMOSPHERE MACHINERY
Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) is a shelf-life extension technique which is achieved by replacing oxygen with a protective gas mix within a sealed pack. The removal of oxygen inhibits the growth of microbes and slows food decay. We offer machinery to seal Modified Atmosphere Packaging and extend shelf-life even further.
We have installed MAP sealing machinery with food manufacturers and processors around the world. Our ColMAP™ packaging includes sandwich packs, trays, and boxes. This has been developed by our in-house team, working closely with our machinery suppliers to maximise effectiveness. Our MAP products are made from board that is laminated with a high barrier, multi-layer film which is suitable for food grade gases. We also offer skinned trays using heat seal or MAP methods. These products can be recycled once the peelable film has been removed.
