Does your library have. . .

A minimum of 750 books , in good condition (based on a classroom average of 25 students)

A wide range of reading levels (2 to 3 years above and below grade level)

30 books per student

At least 30% diverse, culturally relevant books that represent a multitude of identities (racial, ethnic, gender, orientation, neurodiversity, physical abilities)

At least 30% of books published in the past 3–5 years

Multiple copies of popular titles and text sets

5 new books per student per year

A rich variety of genres

50%–60% nonfiction

Digital texts, ebooks, and multimedia such as interactive whiteboards

A minimum of 10% reference books
