Cette année, Glengarry-Prescott-Russell reçoit près de 5,8 M $ en financement annuel indexé au titre du Fonds de la taxe sur l’essence fédérale destiné aux infrastructures municipales, telles que les routes locales, les installations spor- tives et de loisirs et les infrastructures liées au tourisme. C’est l’annonce qu’a fait le député fédéral de la circonscription Francis Drouin lundi EFSOJFS ÆMBDBTFSOFEFQPNQJFSE&NCSVO en compagnie du président des Comtés unis de Prescott et Russell (CUPR) et maire de la &/#3&'r#3*&'4 DES CAMPS D’ÉTÉ ENSOLEILLÉS! Les camps d’apprentissage du Conseil scolaire de district catholique de l’Est ontarien (CSDCEO) ont connu un franc succès encore une fois cette année. Ce sont 130 élèves qui ont participé aux camps qui avaient lieu en juillet 2018, à l’École élémentaire catholique Paul VI de Hawkesbury, l’École élémentaire catholique Sainte-Trinité de Rockland et l’École élémentaire catholique Notre- Dame de Cornwall. —Michel Lamy CANADA REVENUE AGENCY SCAM PERSISTS The OPP is cautioning citizens against a Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) scam that persists in the region. Suspects call residents advising that if they do not pay owed money they can be arrested. This summer a Limoges area woman was contacted by a “CRA officer” advising there were four allegations and that she would be brought to court. The complainant then received a call from what she believed to be the OPP’s local number. Suspects posed as a police officer demanding her SIN number. The OPP confirms that they would not make such calls and advises residents to not give out personal information.
This year, Glengarry-Prescott-Russell receives close to $ 5.8M in annual indexed funding from the federal Gas Tax Fund for municipal infrastructure, such as local roads, sports and recreational facilities, and infrastructure related to tourism. The announcement was cmade by the member of Parliament Francis Drouin last Monday at the fire station Embrun.
