Robert Shannon Taylor Class of 1975 and recently joined the ranks of those who were awarded the Gold Stole denoting 9 years of exemplary service in the Active grade. He was made an honorary member of the Valley of Cincinnati of our counterparts.

Lady Ruler, Loyal Lady Debbie Dean- Mitchell (35); Past State Grand Loyal Lady Ruler, Loyal Lady Charlesena H. Smith (35); and the Imperial 1st Ceremonial Daughter, Imperial Court, Dt. Lisa Bonds (Khedive Court No. 46). The speaker was a recent college graduate who is a member of Rossford First Baptist Church, Richard Jackson, Jr. His speech, “ We Shall Overcome, ” centered on what we can do as a community to honor the dream of Dr. King so that we can overcome the injustices in our country. Loyal Lady Tisdale introduced each house represented and allowed each Head of House to introduce their members that were present. Breakfast followed before the beginning of Sunday worship service. On Sunday, February 8, SGIG Dr. Steven Reece Sr. (20) delivered the

keynote speech for Black History Month at Jerriel Missionary Baptist Church. He regaled all with stories of his beginning in the promotions arena with Aretha Franklin and weaved in experiences with Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King and the recently departed Rev. Jesse Jackson. concerning his deep experience in the community and entrepreneurship. He also quoted from scripture to glorify God and edify the parishioners. After his address Illustrious Reese was awarded the “ Trailblazer Award ” by Pastor Quentin Monroe. Congratulations are in order once again for GIG Rodney Blount, 33° (20). He was recently named the new co-host of the “ Prince Hall Think Tank. ” The Prince Hall Think Tank is a monthly discussion on all things Masonic that can be found on YouTube.

Illustrious Pryor left an indelible mark on all those who knew him. From 1986 to 1989, Ill. Pryor was the 48th Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Ohio. He was a member of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Inc. (past Sire Archon); Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity (Life); NAACP (Life Member); Allen Temple AME Church; and host of social and professional organizations. On January 16, Loyal Lady LaVera Scott, LaPaz Assembly No. 35, Valley of Toledo, was named the first Black president of the Ohio Association of Elected Officials. In this role she is responsible for promoting efficient, reliable elections across all 88 counties in Ohio; coordinating professional development and education for local election officials; and advancing election administration policies. She was recently promoted to Director of the Lucas County Board of Elections and she will serve in both positions simultaneously. We wish LL Scott our heart-felt congratulations and pray that she continue to be an example in the community making Ohio proud. Toledo Prince Hall Proud Celebrating MLK Day Each year Past Loyal Lady Ruler Gloria Tisdale hosts a celebration honoring the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during Sunday school at Rossford First Baptist Church where Rev. F. Alexander Sheares is the Pastor. The Toledo Prince Hall Family were invited guests. The Comazon Chapter Order of Pythagoras and Belle Z. Ballard Girls ’ Assembly served as ushers.
