Church, led by GIG Reverend Peter Hart, reinforcing the Consistory ’ s spiritual and community engagement. In addition, the Consistory hosted a mental health awareness event via Zoom, providing a valuable platform for education and support. We extend our congratulations to Illustrious Commander-in-Chief Dr. Hernando Flowers, who recently earned the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army. His accomplishment is reflective of his steadfast dedication to leadership, both in service to our country and within Scottish Rite freemasonry. Assemblies have been busy uplifting their communities through acts of service and generosity. During September and October 2025, all three Assemblies adopted and sponsored a local nursing community home, showing care and compassion for our elders. They also collected funds for the Margaret Alexander Scholarship Fund, which will be awarded in November to support deserving students pursuing higher education. As we move forward, the Orient of Michigan remains committed to uplifting our members and the communities we serve. Through leadership, education, and fellowship, we continue to build upon a legacy of excellence that reflects the true spirit of Scottish Rite freemasonry. Together, we look ahead to an even brighter year filled with growth, unity, and service.

The Orient of Michigan continues to thrive and make meaningful progress across our Consistories and Assemblies. The Michigan Council of Deliberation has enjoyed a season of prosperity and growth as we prepare to welcome members from across the state to Detroit for our next Annual Session. Our Deputy for the Orient, SGIG Christopher Buck, was recently elected as Eminent Prior of Willie L. Mosley Priory No. 23, Knight York Cross of Honor, a well-deserved honor recognizing his continued dedication. We also celebrate SGIG Bernt Walker, President of the Commanders of the Rite, who was elected as Most Excellent Grand High Priest for the ensuing year, and SGIG Stephen Copher Sr., who was elected as Right Eminent Grand Commander for the ensuing year. Service and leadership remain at the heart of everything the MCOD does, as we continue to strengthen our commitment to the members and the community. The members of Wolverine Consistory No. 6 have been active in service and fellowship. Their Eagles Club participated in a church visitation at First Congregational
