auspicious occasion was held at the Mediterranean Event Center in Bedford Heights, Ohio. This was a historical event! There were two special guests: G.I.G. George Forest 33°, Miami Consistory No. 26, Valley of Dayton (Lt. Col. Ret.), and a special tribute to “ Military History Past and Present ” by G.I.G. Reginald B. Murray 33°, King Solomon Consistory No. 20, Valley of Cincinnati. G.I.G. Carlwin L. Collins 33°, Bezaleel Consistory No. 15, Valley of Cleveland (retired Army) and G.I.G. James M. Lee 33° (15) (retired Marine) presented the colors in honor of the many men and women we saluted during the program. We were welcomed and learned about the many challenges that shaped Lt. Col. George E. Forest into the retired Air Force officer he is today. He left us with a message of hope and a deeper understanding of “ our ” role in these United States of America. Illustrious Murray delivered an outstanding performance portraying a Buffalo Soldier. He guided us through the timeline and educated us about Cathay Williams, the only female Buffalo Soldier, and her plight. A genuine sense of pride filled the room as Loyal Lady Ruler Geneva Ellis (retired Army) received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from U.S. Representative Shontel Brown, demonstrated through her leadership in multiple masonic houses, her position as Loyal Lady Ruler of Bezaleel Assembly No. 19, and her

persistent advocacy for veterans and charitable initiatives in the community. She received several awards to honor her dedicated service to our veterans. When LL Ellis was presented with the U.S. flag and saluted, it was a proud moment that each attendee shared, with not a dry eye in the room. We were reminded that we stand on the shoulders of great men and women who have fought and died so that we can walk freely. The Veterans Resource Center handed out tokens to all active service members, retirees, and spouses of those who served to defend our freedom. LLR Ellis ’ s mission is to ensure no veteran is ever forgotten. Millions of brave men and women have given their lives to defend and uphold one of the greatest rights on Earth—Freedom. Missing this grand celebration was a mistake. Many attendees wished this could be an annual event, so we never forget those who came before us and those on the frontline. Congratulations to the Ohio Voter Awareness team member Loyal Lady LaVera Scott, LaPaz Assembly No. 35, Valley of Toledo, and her team at the Lucas County Board of Elections for receiving the first ever Verify Ohio Accurate Information Award from the Secretary of State Frank LaRose. As stated by the Secretary of State, “ Your creativity and commitment to keeping voters informed and engaged is setting a high standard across Ohio. ” The award is for the work done in 2024 and was presented in June 2025. LL Scott has been the Director of the Lucas County Board of Elections since 2017.

On July 26, 2025, Bezaleel Assembly No. 19, Valley of Cleveland, hosted a Gold and White Luncheon entitled “ Honoring Our Military Heroes. ” This
