The Bulletin

On October 10, 2025, Sovereign Grand Inspector General (SGIG) Stuart Lee presented instruction on an “ Introduction to the Commanders of the Rite (COR). ” He explained the purpose, history, origin, and organizational structure of the COR. He also discussed SGIG Joseph I. Staton ’ s role in founding the concept of the COR in the Northern Jurisdiction. According to “ The History of the United Supreme Council, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Prince Hall Affiliation, Northern Jurisdiction, U.S.A., Inc. ” by Joseph A. Walkes, Jr., during the 106th Annual Session of the USC in Chicago, Illinois, Sovereign Grand Commander Booker Taliaferro Alexander “ praised the Commanders of the Rite as the brainchild of the late Ill. Joseph I. Staton." SGIG Staton was a member of the Orient of the Far East. Joseph I. Staton Consistory No. 103, Valley of the Republic of the Philippines, is named in his honor. Besides the work of our fraters, the Loyal Ladies of the Far East Orient have also reached a milestone. On September 5, 2025, the Far East Orient Order of the Golden Circle welcomed nine new Loyal Ladies to the order. This marked the first time the Orient conducted a ritualistic initiation ceremony virtually via Zoom. Other key topics discussed as part of the ceremony included the Order of the Golden Circle's history and a demonstration of proper Loyal Lady attire and how it ’ s worn. The following is a list of the assemblies that participated, with the names of their new Loyal Ladies.

Orient of the Far East Sovereign Grand Inspector General Charles H. Bush Jr., Deputy

The Orient of the Far East has been working diligently to enhance the Scottish Rite experience for its members and support Scottish Rite Masonry overall. Since the last publication of the United Supreme Council (USC) Bulletin, we have continued to promote education among the membership and offer instructional opportunities. Additionally, we have reached some milestones, especially with the Order of the Golden Circle. One of the initiatives the Orient started about two years ago was to provide structured Scottish Rite education and training to our Grand Inspectors General (GIG) elects. The Far East GIG-Elects ’ Orientation program is conducted virtually and aims to explain the duties, responsibilities, and expectations of an Inspector General. GIG Kenneth Dix and GIG Rodney Roberson are the program facilitators. They are responsible for managing the class schedule and coordinating with volunteer lecturers to teach the curriculum, which includes the following plans of instruction:
