Forty-two returned missionaries have already partaken o f its hospitality. The home is supported by the voluntary offer­ ings o f the Lord’s people, and the dedica­ tory address was made by Dr. A. B. Simp- .son, president o f the Christian and Mis­ sionary Alliance. Recently two Indian men are said to have voluntarily made a 400-mile journey on foot, in Central America, simply for the purpose o f distributing literature and doing personal work. Mr. Allison, editor o f the Guatemala News, the monthly organ o f the station, hopes to institute correspondence courses o f Bible lessons along with his other work. Dr. W . G. McClure o f Bangkok, on his recent exploration tour in the little known section o f northeastern Siam, distributed 2500 Bibles. The apparent lack o f fear or suspicion among the people, is commented on by the missionary, because few mis­ sionaries had visited that section, and practically none o f the children had ever seen a European. The new home mission committee o f Petoskey Presbytery, Michigan, will en­ deavor to provide regular services for Omena church. Though this congregation o f Indians, with only two white members, has had no minister giving continuous service since 1899, and has had not even summer student-supply since 1908, the Sunday school is the largest in the county and-the weekly prayer meeting is held reg­ ularly, with a large attendance. One Hundred Years Old The one hundredth anniversary o f the organization o f the American Sunday School Union will be celebrated during the coming year.
