The works shown in this exhibition are printed copies of the originals in 12x16 in. (30x40 cm.) which are considered “ Giclées ” Edition 1/1. What a “GICLÉE” iGiclée prints are named after the French word “giclée,” which means “to spray or squirt.” This refers to the inkjet printing process, which sprays tiny droplets of ink onto the support that can be paper, canvas, cardboard, metal, etc.
1/1 means that the copy is UNIQUE an it is NOT a part of a series. It is the only artwork printed in the size you see exhibited. All works are copies of original artwork made by MUSEUM OF THE AMERICAS CERTIFIED ARTISTS.
