there’s hope.” Think how many op portunities we may have had before we accepted God’s free gift. There will be millions and millions of peo ple living upon the earth after the church has been raptured. The 144,- 000 Jewish evangelists will preach to them during the tribulation and as a result, a great multitude will be converted. However, they will pay with their lives for their testimony of salvation, joining the martyrs for Christ. Q, Seattle, Wash. — “I f the Old Tes tament declared that the •priesthood was to be forever, why was it done away?” A. This brings up the whole ques tion of the fulfillment of Old Testa ment ordinances. Exodus 12:14 was a command for Israel as long as she was in the land and in covenant re lationship to the Lord. I Corinthians 5:7 is the literal fulfillment of that verse. Remember that all priesthood is not done away. The Lord Jesus Christ is our High Priest. This is the whole basic argument in He brews : the old covenant has been replaced by a new covenant (Heb. 3 :1 ). This is the way we enter into the presence of God, through the glo rious, never-dying, believing priest hood of our Lord Jesus Christ, who ever liveth to make intercession for us. God rent the veil from the top to the bottom. That meant that all of the Old Testament economy was over. The New Testament is endless because it comes through our ever- living Saviour. LOVING BY FAITH A father, whose wife had died only a few months after the birth of their daughter, continued to cherish the wife's memory by lavishing his love on the girl, who constantly reminded him of his beloved. He saw to it that the child went to Sunday school; how ever, he never accompanied her. One evening, as he read the paper, his

precious daughter asked, “Daddy, do you love Jesus?” Putting his reading aside for a moment, he tried to explain, “Darling, Jesus died a long, long time ago. He was crucified and that was really the end of Him.” The girl still couldn’t understand, and quizzed, “But, daddy, you don’t understand, Jesus rose again. He’s not dead! My Sunday school teacher says He died to give us life." The father smiled, patting her on the head and excused himself, say ing, “Well, maybe you’re right. But, sweetheart, how can I be expected to love someone whom I’ve never seen?” This stopped the little lass. As she thought about that for a moment, the father returned to his paper. Now a bright gleam swept across her face, “Daddy, tell me again, how old was I when mother died?” He remembered, “Only about six months.” Confidently, his daughter concluded, “Then how can I say I ever saw her? I don’t remember her at all. Still, you’ve always tried to make me love her by telling me how good and kind she was. I do love her, too, although I can’t remember ever having seen her.” Tears were in the father’s eyes. He stroked her hair gent ly and confessed, “God’s spoken to you, darling, and through you to me. I pray He’ll give me a new heart so that Til love Jesus as you do.” Yes, the Bible rightly declares of the believer’s rela tion to the Lord, “Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glo ry.” Bad habits are like a comfortable bed, easy to get into, but hard to get out of. * * * Juvenile delinquency is the result of parents' trying to raise their children with out starting at the bottom. * * * Are you putting the best you have Into the best there is? * * * Choice, not change, determines our des tiny. * * * Three things should be done with your Bible: study it through, pray It In, and work it out in your life. 23
