If you’ve been by the office recently, you may have noticed that we’ve decorated a door with our core values. While these values have always been integral to our practice, we wanted to make them publicly visible in an effort to tell our patients what we’re all about. They also serve as a reminder to our staff about why we do things the way we do.
At the top of the list, you’ll find our vision for Gardens Dental Care. That vision, “Consistently Providing the Best Patient Experience,” informs every aspect of how we care for patients. It’s why we’re constantly adding new services and the latest in dental technology. It’s also why we’ve expanded our hours to make it easier for all of our patients to come in for regular cleanings and exams. We know that providing the best experience isn’t just about what happens when you’re in the office; it affects everything, including the part of dentistry that people are least likely to talk about. Let’s face it: Dental treatment costs money. Many people will talk about the benefits of treatment without ever acknowledging that treatment isn’t
On top of offering the Gardens Dental Care Membership Plan, we’ve added Compassionate Financing, an excellent option for those who won’t qualify for Care Credit as the result of a credit crunch. Sadly, credit is the be-all and end-all metric for most dental financing options. Compassionate Financing is different. They recognize that a person may have a steady job and checking account, allowing them to make monthly payments no matter what their credit score looks like. We’re honored to provide another way for patients to receive the care they need before problems become more damaging — and more expensive.
Also, when you get a crown placed, it is under a five-year warranty, something few other offices offer. Dental work will last if you spend four minutes in the morning and four minutes in the evening brushing, flossing, and doing any other special treatments we recommend. Our practice understands that not everybody has unlimited funds to spend on dentistry. To that end, providing flexible financing options is another important aspect of our vision. Recently, we’ve made some changes to our in-house savings plan to help give patients a better understanding of their options. We’ve always offered this option for patients who either don’t have insurance or don’t want their insurance company to dictate their care options. Now we’ve decided to make the program even better. We’ve added online integration through software called Kleer and renamed it the Gardens Dental Care Membership Plan. Patients can just go to Kleer.com and enter our office code: YH2U. With it, patients can log on and instantly see their fees and savings, complete transparency. We’re also now offering month-to-month payment options as opposed

TERRIFYING TURKEY TREATMENT 3 Famous Thanksgiving Episodes That Feature Ruined Turkeys
‘WKRP IN CINCINNATI’ This show about a fictional radio station aired a famous Thanksgiving episode that culminated in 10 unforgettable words: “As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.” In the episode, Carlson plans a secret Thanksgiving promo to prove his worth: dropping live turkeys from a helicopter into a shopping plaza to celebrate Thanksgiving. As the scene unfolds, a news reporter narrates, and the hellfire of turkeys plummeting from the sky prompts him to cry out, “Oh, the humanity!” ‘NEW GIRL’ In this episode, Jess asks a coworker to join her Thanksgiving celebration at the last minute, not realizing that a turkey takes several days to prepare. She’s forced to use unconventional methods to thaw out the turkey three hours before her date arrives. Jess starts by hugging the fowl to her body to melt it with her warmth. When that doesn’t work, she throws it into the dryer, explaining that she “put it on permanent press.” Whether viewers anxiously await the newest holiday episode of a series or rewatch one that has aired every year for the last decade, it’s comforting to know that not even our favorite characters can escape the pandemonium of the holidays.
There’s no shortage of Thanksgiving-themed TV episodes. Viewers love to see their favorite fictional characters sit down at the dinner table and fill their plates with gravy-covered deliciousness year after year. However, in both fiction and the real world, Thanksgiving is never a perfectly jovial time. Avid fans may be reminded of their own annual experiences as they watch their favorite characters navigate the chaos of the holiday. Despite the mayhem that inevitably ensues, families are usually able to put aside their differences to share in the true centerpiece of this holiday celebration: the turkey. But what happens when the turkey itself falls prey to the strife that accompanies Thanksgiving? Here are three hilarious Thanksgiving TV episodes that feature strange, wild, or downright incredible turkey-themed incidents. ‘FRIENDS’ According to fans, the most memorable of this show’s many hilarious episodes aired during season five. In this episode, Monica attempts to cheer up Chandler by sticking her head inside an uncooked turkey. She then places a tasseled hat and oversized sunglasses on the fowl to complete the look. Fortunately, Chandler enjoyed the sight enough to declare his love for her for the first time ever.

Chipotle- Roasted Carrot Salad
INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
30 small carrots (2–3 bunches), tops removed and carrots scrubbed 2 chipotle peppers in adobo, minced 1 teaspoon adobo sauce from the chipotle can

4 ounces watercress, stems trimmed

Plain Greek yogurt, for serving
•
Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon molasses
•
DIRECTIONS
1. Heat oven to 350 F. In a rimmed baking sheet, toss carrots with chipotle peppers, molasses, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper, and roast for 30–35 minutes. 2. Transfer carrots to a plate and let them cool completely. 3. Once cooled, toss carrots with adobo sauce. Lay across a platter, and top with watercress. 4. Serve alongside yogurt

Should Parents Help Pull Loose Baby Teeth?
break and cause a great deal of pain. Forcing a tooth out can also damage gum tissue or the surrounding teeth, leading to infection.
Some parents want to get loose teeth out of their child’s mouth as soon as possible because they’re worried the tooth will get swallowed by accident. If this happens, you don’t have to be alarmed. A baby tooth is not a choking hazard and a swallowed tooth will pass through your child’s body without any trouble. At most, you may have to help your child write a letter to the tooth fairy explaining what happened. If your child is begging you to take out their loose tooth, don’t go searching for the string. Instead, take a tissue and gently apply pressure on the tooth with two fingers. The tooth should pop right out. However, if the tooth resists or your child complains about any pain, leave the tooth alone a little longer. The best way to deal with a loose tooth is to have patience and let your child wiggle their tooth until it falls out on its own. Loose teeth will fall out when the time is right.
Losing baby teeth is a rite of passage for children. It’s a sign that they are growing up! Many parents are excited to be part of this experience and re-enact the traditions of their childhood. How many of you remember a parent tying one end of a string to your tooth and the other to a doorknob, helping the tooth come out with a single slam? This “trick” for getting out a loose tooth is a time- honored tradition — and it’s also one of the worst ways to handle a loose baby tooth!
You should never force a tooth to come out before it’s ready. If a tooth is yanked out before the root is fully dissolved, the root can
