Member Engagement
and progress to date of the BIFA Air Cargo Community Advisory Body, including plans for the redevelopment of the Heathrow Cargo estate. Structured breakout sessions were facilitated and produced insightful input that will be fed into the working group via the advisory body. Crucial to the successful redevelopment of infrastructure is a significant reduction in landside congestion at LHR which will be achieved through the use of The Advanced Information System (AIS). Mark Belliss, BT Head of Strategy and Product Development, presented how the system currently works, plans to add functionality and the implications and benefits of using AIS. The South Hampshire College Group shared how BIFA collaboration has made a major contribution to upskilling college staff, adult training, identification of skills gaps and student engagement. Finally, the review of the BIFA Standard Trading Conditions was covered with details of resources available to download from the website and the roll out plan of webinars (see page 15 for further information).
