ENNSYLVANIA — In- novation Park at Penn State will announce that Baltimore-based Innovation Capital Partners anticipates breaking ground in October on the 331 Innovation Blvd. build- ing, a four-story facility with 82,000 s/f. Building 331 will be the first LEED-certified building in Innovation Park. Born and raised in Phila- delphia, Baumert earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Drexel In- stitute of Technology (now Drexel University) in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1951-1953 at Fort Belvoir, VA, and in Korea where he was a platoon commander and battalion re- con officer. At the time of his retirement, Carl was a regis- tered professional engineer in 14 states. n
