the greater should be his proportion of giving. We urge you to give your local church support in every way possible as the Word of God is faith fully proclaimed. This does not mean for a moment that every penny an individual gives has to go to or even through the church. This is an in dividual matter between you and the Lord. Sacramento, Calif. “Does the portion in Hebrews 10:5, ‘A body hast thou prepared me’, r e fe r to the physical body o f Jesus or to the Church?” A. The context of this verse reveals that Christ’s sacrifice on Calvary’s cross suffices not only for time but also for all eternity. As we study it carefully, it is evident that the reference has to do with His physi cal body. Christ had to have a human body in which to die which is what God prepared for His Son. The truth of the Church as the body of Christ is found all through Ephesians. Q, San Jose, Calif. “Can you help me with Eph. 5:U? There seems to be so much joking and levity in the church today. For this rea son the context would indicate “Son of God” as the preferred title, al though some ancient authorities may read “Son of Man”. Q. San Francisco, Calif. “Please explain what is meant by bringing all the tithes into the storehouse, as it is given in Malachi 3:10. Doesn’t this apply to the church today?” A. No, it does not. This command was under the old dispensation given to Israel. Today we are to consider our stewardship in the light of pro portionate giving.
