ever.” While that verse primarily re­ fers to the remnant, it may also be applied to the Christian today. If you want to shine for eternity, be a soul winner for the Lord Jesus! “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to TRANQUIL IN TEMPESTS Fear not that the whirlwind shall carry thee hence, Nor wait for its onslaught in breath­ less suspense, Nor shrink from the whips of the terrible wails That pass through the edge of the heart of the gales. For there is a shelter, sunlighted and warm; And faith sees her God through the eye of the storm. The passion of tempest with rush and wild roar, And threatening of evil may beat on the shore; The waves may be mountains, the fields battle plains And the earth then immersed in a deluge of rains. But the soul stayed on God may sing bravely its song, For the heart of the storm is the center of calm. Let hope be not quenched in the blackness of night. Though the cyclone of wild may have bottled the light. For, behind the great darkness, the stars ever shine; And the light of God's heaven, His love shall make thine. Let no gloom dim thine eyes but lift them on high To face of thy God and the blue of the sky. The storm of thy shelter from dan­ ger and sin And God Himself takes thee for safe­ ty within. The tempests with Him pass into deep calm And the roar of the winds is the sound of the song. Be glad and serene when the tem­ pest clouds form; God smiles at His child in the eye of the storm.

from their eyes, and they will preach the gospel of the kingdom. That group of 144,000 will not be called out until after the church (the body of Christ) has been translated (I Thess. 4:13-18). After the church age is over, God will call out 12,000 from each tribe, and these will preach the gospel of the kingdom “. . . . repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” The disciples asked the Lord, “. . . when shall these things be?” Jesus told them the gospel should be preached in all the world (that is, the gospel of the kingdom) and then the end would come. Those who are to preach that message will be the 144,000 Jews, and as a result of their preach­ ing a great multitude which no man can number will turn to God. God will call them out of Japan, India, Africa, etc. These preachers of the kingdom will not have an easy time. They will have the antichrist on their trail. Many will seal their faith with their blood. Many will have to go through fire and water and hell on earth. But they will remain true to God and to His Christ, and the Word says they are going to shine “as the stars for ever and
