Right Start Transfer Manual

MOLLY MAID Right Start Transfer Manual Copyright  2015, Molly Maid, Inc. 1.16.2.2 Employment Classifieds This time-honored method of recruiting employees is still viable, especially when combined with an active employee recruiting plan that takes you and your name out into the community and onto the Internet. When recruiting, include information on the essential functions of the job to attract applicants with the appropriate qualifications. Include the factors that are appealing to most current home service professionals: family- friendly hours, having the trust of the owner and the authority to work independently, and enjoying good relationships with co-workers, and long-term customers. Do not state or suggest a preference for race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, or any other condition or characteristic that is not a bona fide occupational qualification of the job being advertised. Recruiting should not be conducted with the intent to limit employment opportunity. Whenever possible, write job titles in non-sexist language and avoid terms that imply concern about age. You may wish to include a statement in your ads saying, “We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, age, national origin, or disability.” Recruitment advertisements should not be used to over-inform or screen out potential applicants. The primary goal of an ad is to generate applications from people in need of employment so that you may speak with them personally and have a chance to explain the benefits of the job. The best newspaper in which to advertise are local or community subscription newspapers or in small non-subscription papers that service the areas in which potential home service professionals are most likely to live. As you gain more experience, you may begin adding income ranges or geographic proximity requirements to your ads. This will discourage clearly unsuitable candidates from calling you. We recruit many of our employees via the Internet, using many of the Internet job boards available for little or no expense. Internet recruiting is fast and can be placed immediately, upon completion of Owner Training Center. Make sure to avoid stale ads. Update them frequently! 1.16.2.3 Sample Adv rtisements Here are several examples of sample employee recruitment ads:  Wanted: Home Service Professional, pay $250-$400.
