Until you get hands-on experience with interviewing, selection, hiring/training, personnel management, etc., personnel planning often comes as a surprise. To help ensure an adequate supply of HSPs to permit business growth, expect the following range of personnel turnover. To get a new team through: 1st month may take 3-6 people 2nd month may take 1.5-3 people extra 3rd month may take 1-2.5 people extra The ratios should improve for subsequent teams as your recruiting skills develop and you can identify what a potential employee looks like. Turnover for established businesses usually runs from 100% to 200% in the first year, with most of the turnover occurring at the associate position. The key is proper selection and providing a warm, caring, motivational environment. Poorly selected HSPs undoubtedly result in high turnover. Schedule your first recruitment advertisement for a recruiting website, such as Craigslist, following Owner Training Center in the help wanted-general classified section. Include the times for applicants to come and apply. We do not recommend listing your phone number, as your goal is to interview applicants as they come in and apply. Discuss the content of your ad with your New Business Manager prior to placing the ad. 1.17 Your MOLLY MAID Business Attire The Business Attire for MOLLY MAID is a long or short sleeved pink oxford shirt with the MOLLY MAID logo and navy blue slacks or skirt for women, and navy blue dress slacks for men.
