The following graphs are a comparison (January—March) of Fort Worth (909,585) to benchmark cities with either a similar population or proximity. Comparable cities with their popula- tion noted in parentheses include: Dallas, TX (1,343,573), Austin, TX (978,908), El Paso, TX (681,728), Charlotte - Mecklenburg, NC (885,708), Columbus, OH (898,553), Jacksonville, FL (911,507), and San Francisco, CA (881,549). The City of Columbus, OH did not report offenses for the first quarter of 2021. The population data source is the U.S. Census Bureau. Crime offense comparable data source is the Major Cities Chiefs Association. The offenses compared include homicide, rape (NIBRS offenses 11A, 11B, and 11C), robbery, and aggravated assault .
