3 Write a number for each picture. Ask students to look at the pictures. Point to the toys and the school supplies on the desk in the pictures. Then read out the dialogues. Have students identify the places in the rest of the pictures. Read the sentences form 1–4 aloud. Have students identify what picture corresponds to the first sentence. Ask them to match the rest of the pictures to each sentence. Call on students to give the correct answers. Use phrases like Good job! Great! Excellent! to motivate students when they answer correctly. 4 Read the expressions. Choose one and draw it. Ask different volunteers to read the expressions from the box. Make sure they understand them and they know when to use them. Have students choose one expression and draw its meaning in the box. Ask students to share their pictures with their classmates. Wrap Up Choose a classroom rule or expression from the unit. Then ask students to write the expression on index cards or small pieces of paper, with one word per card. Have them show you their own expressions in the correct word order. Then ask students to shuffle or mix their cards. Ask them to put the cards in the correct order to form the expression again. Have students exchange their sets of cards with a partner. The partner will try to put the words in order to form the expression. Demonstrate the activity by calling on a student and put their cards in the correct order. Have students work in groups of three to write a short list of classroom rules and courtesy expressions they heave learned. Ask some volunteers to read their senteneces aloud. Praise students with positive feedback. Time to Shine Have students congratulate their classmates for the work they have done. Encourage them to say, Well done!

Warm Up Have students play a game adapted form Simon Says , to practice courtesy expressions and classroom rules. Tell students to pay attention in the action you are asking to perform. Call out a courtesy expression e.g. Miss Laura says, Say Hello with your hand . Sometimes perform the “wrong movement”. Students who find themselves incorrectly should sit down. Use as many courtessy expressions and classroom rules as possible. Give positive feedback.
