Artist statement: This piece explores the interplay of light and texture by using Japanese ochre paper to represent yellow concrete patches illuminated by afternoon light. Through bold ink silhouettes, I capture the shadow play of people crossing an otherwise empty street, grounding the abstract forms with the familiar, intimate detail of a laced sneaker.
Take a look at some of the work by our talented artists.
