Auto Adjusting system

The auto-adjusting springs system provide consistent, even pressure across the mug surface, adapting automatically. This ensures flawless heat transfer, reduces the risk of uneven prints, and improves the overall quality of each finished mug. You do not have to adjust anything yourself.

MAKING A MUG

1. Take a clean mug, and stick the picture to be transferred onto it using the heat tape (highlighted in green to make it more easily visible) Your hands must be clean when you do this, as any oil on your fingers will stick to the mug, and not allow a good transfer to take place. 2. Be sure to stick the paper tightly onto the mug so that there are no air bubbles trapped under the paper. Also make sure that you put the image the right way on the mug! 3. Now take a sheet of standard copy paper, cut it in half down its length, and wrap it around the mug. Hold this paper tightly and place the mug into the press (while holding the mug wrapped in the paper). The reason for the paper is to stop moisture from transferring into the mug, and any ink from transferring back from your transfer paper into the mug element.

4. Now insert your mug into the press, and switch the press ON. At the same time, make sure your settings are set as in step 1 to 4 above and press the “execute button” to start timing. The machine will make a beeping sound when done.

5. Make sure that the handle of the mug is halfway between the two edges of the mug press clamp. This is critical, as failure to do this step properly can result in the handle of the mug breaking off when you close the clamp ! (look at the area circled in yellow – you can see how the handle of the mug should be)

6. When the mug press reaches the maximum tem perature that we’ve set it to , it will make a few short beeping sounds. These sounds are to remind you to make sure that there is a mug in the press. If there is no mug, and the press is on, your element will burn out rather quickly.

7. Once the time on your digital timer reaches zero, it will start beeping, so that you know that the mug pressing process is complete.

8. Now switch off the press, and remove your mug. – IT’S EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT THE PRESS NOT BE LEFT ON WITHOUT A MUG IN IT .

9. Cool the mug down in a bucket of cool to lukewarm water. DO NOT use COLD WATER or the mug will crack.

CAUTION – The Mug is extremely HOT at this point

10. Now remove the mug, and gently peel the picture and heat tape, until it comes off competely.

11. Repeat until you have made all the mugs you want.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! YOU’VE JUST MADE A MUG !!!!

NOTE THAT WITH THIS MUG PRESS, IT IS POSSIBLE TO PRINT AN IMAGE 1cm FROM THE TOP, BOTTOM AND HANDLE OF THE MUG. LARGER IMAGES MAY RESULT IN INCONCISTANCIES OR FADING ON THE EDGES OF THE PRINT.
