A penalty score can be posted to a player’s scoring record by the Handicap Committee for one or more of the following reasons: •Failure to post a tournament round within seven (7) days of the tournament or no later than the 14th or the last day of the month. Multiple failures to post a score as a tournament may result in suspension of tournament participation for 30 days •Failure to post a non-tournament round by the 14th or last day of the month •Failure to adjust a score for Equitable Stroke Control •Posting a score higher or lower than recorded on the scorecard A penalty score is a score posted by the Handicap Committee that is equal to the lowest or highest handicap differential in the player’s current scoring record. If a golfer receives three (3) penalty scores, he/she may have their handicap withdrawn for 60 days. The Inter-Service Scramble Championship will be held on Saturday, 8 July at ARL. The format is a four-person team scramble and will begin with an 8:00 AM shotgun start. The field is limited to the first eight (8) teams from each service so get your online entry in early. Online entries open at 7:00 AM on June 8, 2017. The dedicated time slots are: 5:27 PM, 5:35 PM, 5:43 PM, and 5:51 PM. All you have to do is call the Pro Shop and let them know. The format for sign-ups for Thursday play at FFX has not been changed. Information for the CWGO Match Play Championship will be sent late June, with play running through July, Aug and Sept. This is a great season-long event to hone your skills. We also have 2 scheduled Saturday play dates in June: June 3 ARL and June 17 FFX. Spots are filling up fast for the 2nd Annual CWGO/WGO-18 Member-Guest Tournament. The theme this year is “It’s Your Lucky Day at Army Navy.” The 2-day event will begin with “Fun Par 3 Challenge” on June 27 (optional) followed by the tournament on June 28. Guest Policy REMINDER The ANCC Golf Guest Policy limits the number of guests who can be introduced on any given day. The guest policy allows the following: •Monday – Friday (non-holiday): Three (3) guests at any time •Saturday before 11:00 AM: No guests •Saturday after 11:00 AM: Three (3) guests •Sunday & Holidays: One (1) guest at any time •Sunday & Holidays after 11:00 AM: Three (3) guests
