Flipping Book Version

Commercial vehicles will enter and exit the secured service yard area using the existing access point off Canal Road. This is currently how commercial vehicles access and exit the site. The existing site comprises of a significant amount of employment floorspace which whilst currently vacant could be brought back into use. Therefore, the proposals do not represent a material increase in floorspace and are unlikely to result in a material change in traffic flow on the surrounding road network. The car park, pedestrian and cycle access will be via the existing access, formerly used by the builder’s merchant further along Canal Road. Car parking provision will meet the needs of the proposed development. This will ensure parking demand for the development can be contained on site and not be displaced onto surrounding roads. A Travel Plan for staff will be prepared to encourage staff to walk, cycle or use public transport where possible. A survey has been undertaken of existing staff travel habits to inform likely travel modes of future staff within the new development. A large proportion of apetito’s manufacturing staff already walk to work and it is anticipated that this will continue.
