The aim of this lesson is to familiarise participants with regulations, guidelines and company HV rules in different regions where they may work.
After having successfully completed this lesson, the participants can:
42) Distinguish differences in the regulatory frameworks, standards and guidance for HV work activities across regions and companies (Skills, intermediate level)
ELEMENT 6.1 - LEGISLATION, INDUSTRY STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES, COMPANY RULES FOR HV WORK
To achieve the lesson learning objectives, the participants can:
43) Distinguish the fundamentals of legal compliance for HV operations in different regions (Skills, intermediate level)
44) Name common international and local standards relevant to HV work, such as EN50110-1, NFPA 70E (Knowledge, basic level)
45) Recognise approved procedures, approved tools and equipment and how these items are approved locally (Knowledge, basic level)
46) Discuss variations in practices across different countries and organisations, as well as local licensing requirements for electrical work in certain regions (Knowledge, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Facilitate a discussion on the range of different regulations and guidelines, company and local rules for HV work activity.
