Illustrate a range of different types of switching, single feed and complex.
The participants shall:
Engage in asking and answering questions, and sharing understanding safe practices and principles of switching, including team communications and the hierarchy of switching.
Engage using stop and think decision making to answer questions from the instructor when facing different conditions.
ELEMENT 11.2 - PERFORMING INITIAL ENERGISATION AT COMMISSIONING AND REENERGISATION FOLLOWING REPAIRS
To achieve the lesson learning objectives, the participants can:
88) Perform all steps to confirm equipment is safe to return to service. (Skills, intermediate level)
89) Take responsibility to confirm clearance to reenergise (Ability, intermediate level)
90) Distinguish safety documents for different types of work and tests (Skills, intermediate level)
91) Perform energisation in steps, verifying controls are functional (Skills, intermediate level)
92) Perform testing and retesting, verifying controls are functional (Skills, intermediate level)
93) Describe sources of trips or faults during commissioning (Knowledge, basic level)
The instructor shall:
Explain and demonstrate the following:
a. Confirming equipment is safe to return to service following repairs
b.
Clearance to reenergise
c. A range of safety documents that control different kinds of work or tests
d.
Energising in steps / sections
e. Testing / retesting / verifying controls are functional
