The instructor shall:

Facilitate a practical walk through of example switching orders in role play training scenarios emphasising the:

a.

integral importance for safe switching

b.

roles and responsibilities

Demonstrate communications and sequences

a. permission to switch, apply circuit main earth (as per ENA Safety Rules or equivalent)

The participants shall:

Engage in asking and answering questions and sharing understanding of carrying out actions within a HV safety document or switching orders.

ELEMENT 11.5 - IDENTIFY CRITICAL TO SAFETY INTERVENTION POINTS AND NOTIFY APPROPRIATE AUTHORITIES OF IMPROPER OPERATION

To achieve the lesson learning objectives, the participants can:

100) Apply the correct procedure for abnormal cancellation of safety documentation for a lost safety key, safety document or missing recipient (Skills, intermediate level)

101) Act independently to notify relevant authorities of safety violations or improper operations (Ability, intermediate level)

102) Take initiative for personal responsibility for safety and the right to stop unsafe work (Ability, intermediate level)

103) Take responsibility to conduct toolbox talks and participate in emergency planning (Ability, intermediate level)
