The participants shall:

Take responsibility during role play scenarios in a practical walk through applying critical to safety intervention points and notify appropriate authorities, including emergency situations.

ELEMENT 11.6 - SCENARIO BASED PRACTICAL ACTIVITIES - HV SWITCHING

HV switching scenarios should be developed to include operations proceeding as expected and a range of unexpected issues with equipment and processes, and how to act in those situations.

Note

Ideally scenarios should where possible be based on case studies, incident reports and other relevant real-world examples from the industry.

Time allocated for scenario-based exercises in Lessons 11, 12, 13 and 14 can be combined or divided to provide opportunities to integrate switching, isolation, proving, earthing and testing exercises into coherent scenarios based in real-world work tasks.

The instructor shall:

Facilitate the participants in a range of different HV switching exercises covering switching HV equipment in different conditions and states.
