Present scenarios where the participants must assess, lead, assist and carry out designated duties as necessary in a range of HV switching scenarios:

a.

normal conditions proceeding as expected,

b.

different conditions than expected,

c. incorrect or conflicting instructions and information,

d. indicators or readings outside of expected or appropriate range,

e.

missing, incorrect or damaged PPE or tools

f.

documentation incorrect or missing

g.

failures in communication

h. conflicting activities or challenges arising from priorities of adjacent, or other impacting work

i. human factors: undue time pressure, confusion or lack of clarity, conflicting opinions on how to proceed

Give constructive feedback to all participants after each scenario

The participants shall:

Practice duties as the designated Switching Persons in a range of different HV switching exercises covering switching equipment in different conditions and states.

Practice control, communication and correct action of the Switching Person during switching operations scenarios.

Rotate through different roles and duties to experience different conditions across a range of scenarios and exercises.

Participants should rotate through designated duties to expose them to a wide range of scenarios as specified across a range of exercises.

Note

While participants rotate through different designated roles, others should observe and reflect on the scenario and actions of fellow participants.
