The instructor shall:

Facilitate participants in practical scenarios applying HV isolations and earth in a range of simulated work tasks.

Present scenarios where the participants must assess, lead, assist and carry out designated duties as necessary in a range of HV isolations and earth.

Give constructive feedback to all participants after each scenario

The participants shall:

Practice designated duties in a range of different HV isolations and earthing exercises covering equipment in different conditions and states.

Practice control, communication and correct action in different roles during HV isolations and earth scenarios.

Rotate through different roles and duties to experience different conditions across a range of scenarios and exercises.

Participants should rotate through designated duties to expose them to a wide range of duties across a range of exercises.

Note

While participants rotate through different designated roles, others should observe and reflect on the scenario and actions of fellow participants.

SAFE CONTROL DURING HV TESTING

240 min.

The aim of this lesson is to familiarise participants with HV testing types, tools, equipment, the methods for ensuring safe control during testing activity, and to provide opportunities for them to practice implementing safe control of the HV system in realistic exercise scenarios.

After having successfully completed this lesson, the participants can:

117) Take responsibility to operate correctly under sanction for test, ensuring compliance with SSOW (Ability, intermediate level)

118) Perform steps as designated Switching Person for safe control of HV equipment during testing activity (Skills, intermediate level)

119) Distinguish HV testing types, tools, equipment and associated devices (Skills, intermediate level)
