Encourage the participants to reflect on the different challenges or benefits presented by different cable types
The participants shall:
Explore the features and functions of different types of HV cable using the provided samples
Work in pairs to suggest the different challenges or benefits presented by different cable types
ELEMENT 2.3 - CABLE CONSTRUCTION FROM CORE TO OUTER LAYER
To achieve the lesson learning objectives, the participants can:
14) Recognise the difference between HV and LV cables based on structure, characteristics and markings (Knowledge, basic level)
15) Describe the typical construction of HV cables, including core layers and waterproofing features (Knowledge, basic level)
The instructor shall:
Illustrate the difference between HV and LV cables using a range of samples of different cable types.
Use physical examples of HV and non HV cable to illustrate cable construction
