Following several acquisitions and continued growth, the label manufacturing companies known as Western Shield, All-American Label and Packag- ing, Lotus Labels, DAC Labels, Label Print Technol- ogies (LPT) and The Label Smith will now operate under one brand: Imprimus Labels & Packaging. This brand overhaul is part of a series of strate- gic advancements made during the nine years since Nizar Elias became the company’s CEO. This includes opening five additional manufac- turing sites, upgrading and overhauling equipment across all six locations, and incorporating labels for digital printing, folding cartons and booklets into the company’s product portfolio, resulting in 10 times revenue growth. With production facilities in Brea, California; Dublin, California; Mogadore, Ohio; Dallas, Texas; Houston, Texas; and Memphis, Tennessee, Impri- mus specializes in the consumer packaged goods industry, including top performers in the food and beverage markets. Its capabilities extend to wine, snack foods, frozen foods, beer, and cannabis. With flexographic and digital presses, Imprimus produc- es pressure sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, flexible packaging, folding cartons, expanded content la- bels, and instant redeemable coupons. Mondi is expanding its IQ GRASS + PACKAGING range, made with up to 30 percent grass fibre and 70 percent certified fresh fibre pulp, with a wider choice of grammages in a bid to bring sustainabili- ty-minded box, liner, and finishing solutions to the luxury goods market. IQ GRASS + PACKAGING as- pires to meet increasing interest in the sensory ex- perience of unpacking a product, particularly in the luxury packaging sector. Mondi Widens Options For Paper Packaging The range is both FSC and PEFC certified and Cra- dle to Cradle Certified at the bronze level. It com- plies with ISO standards 14001 and 9001 and does not contain chlorine or heavy metals; CO2-neutral options are also available, Mondi claims. Flexographic and offset printing technology are both applicable to every grammage in the range, the company said, with the pattern of the grass fi- bres remaining visible through the print. Examples of the paper’s use include boutique car- rier bags, liners for corrugated and solid board, and promotional cards.
