A rtificial Intelligence (AI) systems are being rapidly introduced in emerging and existing aircraft, all of which will require certification by military avia- tion and/or civil aviation authorities. Measures taken to test the reliability of aircraft AI systems and the best ways for using them may offer practical examples for other areas and applications.
