Michael Coolican Selected as New DAU Vice President/Provost Communications

Introducing the Acquisition Knowledge Matrix George Fulda As the sun sets on the Communities of Practice on Sept. 30, 2025, the university is excited to launch the new Acquisi- tion Knowledge Matrix—a modern, structured content hub designed to enhance usability, discoverability, and access for the entire Acquisition Workforce. Mike Coolican is stepping into a new role as our Vice Presi- dent/Provost, where he will shape our academic vision and lead curriculum development. In this pivotal role, Coolican will support President Bilyana Anderson to chart organiza- tional strategy, setting bold priorities, defining clear suc- cess metrics, and driving accountability across all levels. 20th Army Senior Service College Fellowship Begins Shannon Seay

DAU launched the 20th consecutive Army Senior Service College Fellowship (SSCF) academic year in July. The Of- fice of the Army Director, Acquisition Career Management (DACM) selected and sponsored 20 Fellows across two seminars (Redstone Arsenal and virtual), who convened at South Region, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., for a unified orienta- tion experience. (Read more) The White House AI Action Plan: DoD’s Role Communications As part of the U.S. government’s focus on moving faster and more efficiently, the White House has published the AI Action Plan. “The United States is in a race to achieve global dominance in artificial intelligence (AI). Whoever has the largest AI ecosystem will set global AI standards and reap broad economic and military benefits,” it reads. (Read more)
