For detailed instructions on preparing your submission, please consult the Submission Guide on our website: https://www.dau.edu/library/damag/writers-guidelines Defense Acquisition is a bimonthly magazine published at the Warfighting Acquisition University. Defense Acquisition readers are senior military personnel, civilians, defense con- tractors, and defense industry professionals in program man- agement and the acquisition and sustainment workforce. DEADLINES ISSUE SUBMISSION DEADLINE January-February 1 October March-April 1 December May-June 1 February July-August 1 April September-October 1 June November-December 1 August HOW TO SUBMIT Please carefully review our Submission Guide as you prepare your article. Articles should be submitted by email to defacqmag@dau.edu . Receipt of your submission will be ac- knowledged in 5 working days. TYPES OF ARTICLES Defense Acquisition seeks articles that reflect author ex- periences in and thoughts about acquisition. Articles should discuss the individual’s experience with problems and solu- tions in acquisition, contracting, logistics and sustainment, program management, or with emerging trends. The maga- zine also publishes Q&A-type articles or interviews with ex- perts or seasoned professionals that address questions on relevant issues. Authors can also report on new programs or policy changes that may be useful to our readers. The maga- zine does not print academic papers, fact sheets, technical papers, white papers, or articles with footnotes, endnotes, or references. Articles meeting any of those criteria may be more suitable for our sister publication, Acquisition Research Journal . Defense Acquisition does not reprint from other pub- lications or publish articles that have appeared elsewhere. ADVERTISEMENTS Defense Acquisition publishes full- or half-page advertise- ments of DoW events or programs in our print edition. The magazine does not publish endorsements of products for sale.
