Example 3 Writing Linear Equations in Slope-Intercept Form
In Example 3, Prof. Burger demonstrates using point-slope form to write the equation of a line in slope- intercept form when given the slope and a point on the line, and when given two points on a line. Note that a point-slope form equation can be written in slope-intercept form by solving for y and simplifying.
