Gen Z says ‘I Do’ to quiet weddings Move over lavish country estates and guest lists the size of small festivals - quiet weddings are officially having a moment, and Gen Z is leading the charge! Following Charli XCX’s effortlessly cool Hackney Town Hall wedding to George Daniel late last year, searches for local registry office weddings have skyrocketed by over 5,000%. According to Pinterest’s annual wedding report, the younger generation of brides and grooms are redefining romance, trading grand spectacles for chic minimalism, intimacy and authenticity. Data from Aura Print (https://aura-print.com/uk/) reveals that there are now around 62,000 monthly searches from couples trying to find their nearest registry office. Add to that a recent survey showing that 29% of couples are opting for smaller, more personal ceremonies, and it’s clear - the age of the ‘quiet wedding’ is officially here!
