As you turn into the sweeping gravel driveway of High House Weddings, a sense of anticipation takes over. The approach sets the scene for what’s to come: six acres of landscaped gardens and orchards, with a sparkling heart-shaped lake at their centre. Every corner is thoughtfully designed to enchant, creating picture-perfect backdrops for memories you’ll cherish forever. Ceremony magic Couples are spoilt for choice with ceremony spaces. Outdoors, the thatched Gazebo overlooks the lake, with a rustic pergola-lined aisle leading to the altar. Licensed for civil marriages, partnerships and celebrant-led ceremonies, this enchanting spot welcomes up to 120 guests. Indoors, the Essex Barn dating back to 1750, is a Grade II listed treasure blending history and elegance. With exposed beams, red brick and soaring windows, it creates an enchanting setting for up to 120 guests. The flow of the day After ‘I do’, guests gather in the Stable Courtyard overlooking a pond and painted bridge – perfect for drinks, toasts and photographs. The adjoining Stable Bar links seamlessly to the outdoors, creating a sociable space year-round. Later, the Orangery becomes the star. This glass-fronted venue opens onto a terrace with views across the lake
and vineyard. It seats 140 guests for a wedding breakfast and welcomes 200 for an evening reception. A feast to remember Dining at High House Weddings is as memorable as the setting. The in-house Head Chef works with couples to design bespoke menus which offer both fine dining and indulgent favourites with a gourmet twist. Dishes are crafted with the utmost care, and menus can be paired with wines from the neighbouring Althorne Estate Vineyard. Stay a while longer Luxurious accommodation for the happy couple is a bonus of this lovely venue. The Dressing Room, available from 9am on the day of your ceremony, overlooks the pool and is the perfect place to prepare with friends, stylists and fizz. Afterward, retreat as newlyweds to a secluded cottage within its own secret garden. Up to 27 guests are warmly welcomed too. The Farmhouse offers 11 en-suite bedrooms across two adjoining properties. The Grade II listed White House brims with character, while the Black Barn offers sleek, contemporary style. Two detached Courtyard Rooms add further choice, all finished to the same luxurious standard, ensuring everyone enjoys a restful stay.
