Brothers and sisters, Jesus Christ is risen from the dead and sits at the right hand of the Father, where he intercedes for his Church. Confident that God hears the voices of those who trust in the Lord Jesus, we join our prayers to his: For Marilyn, God’s beloved daughter and heiress to the kingdom, that she be held securely in God’s loving embrace now and for all eternity. We pray to the Lord R. Lord, hear our prayers In baptism Marilyn received the light of Christ. Merciful God, scatter the darkness now and lead Marilyn over the waters of death into your eternal life. For the family and friends of our sister Marilyn, that they may be consoled in their grief by the Lord, who wept at the death of his friend Lazarus. We pray to the Lord. R. Lord, hear our prayer That one day we may all share in the banquet of the Lord, praising God for victory over death. We pray to the Lord R. Lord, hear our prayer Lord God, You entrusted Marilyn to our care and now you embrace her in your love. Take Marilyn into your keeping, Comfort us, your sorrowing servants, who seek to do your will and to know your saving peace. We ask this through Christ our Lord. R. Amen
