NEW ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS
In the year 2025, PMU has undertaken a series of innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing faculty and student development, promoting collaboration, and integrating emerging technologies across the academic environment. The following key activities and programs were successfully implemented: Data Science and Visualization Training Program A comprehensive training program was launched to strengthen skills in data analysis, interpretation, and visualization. This initiative included targeted seminars and workshops featuring expert speakers from various fields, providing participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in modern data science techniques. Culture of Collaborative Learning Initiative To foster a culture of collaboration and inclusivity, PMU conducted workshops and training sessions aimed at promoting student collaboration, cross-cultural understanding, and inclusive teaching practices. This initiative enhanced the academic environment by encouraging knowledge-sharing and cooperative learning among students and faculty. Technology Integration Training Program A specialized program was implemented to improve faculty digital literacy and the effective use of emerging technologies. Training covered AI, data analytics, virtual reality, and collaborative tools including Google Workspace and Microsoft Teams, enabling faculty to leverage technology for more effective teaching and learning experiences. Innovative Teaching Workshops Workshops were organized to enhance active learning and technology integration within the classroom. These sessions focused on immersive learning experiences and provided participants with industry-recognized certification training in AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics, equipping faculty and students with relevant skills for the modern digital landscape. AI Art Competition The Learning Resource Center (LRC) hosted an AI Art Competition to stimulate creativity, encourage collaboration, and spark discussions around the intersection of artificial intelligence and the arts. This initiative provided a platform for participants to explore innovative approaches to art using AI technologies. Community Engagement and Outreach PMU strengthened its ties with the community by conducting events that connected academic research with public interest. Community-centered projects, press series, and engagement with local leaders facilitated knowledge dissemination and reinforced the university’s commitment to societal development. Faculty Forums and Webinars A series of faculty forums and webinars were organized to promote academic exchange and professional development. These events included faculty speaker series and publisher-led webinars, providing opportunities for faculty and students to engage with current trends, research insights, and best practices in their respective fields.
