PDC Annual Report 2025 (1)

SEMINARS | WORKSHOPS | TRAINING SESSIONS

In 2025, the organization significantly expanded its professional development initiatives, offering 39 workshops, training sessions, and seminars, up from 30 sessions reported last year. This growth reflects a strong commitment to continuous learning, skill enhancement, and professional development.

AI- and Data-Focused Workshops A major emphasis this year was on artificial intelligence (AI), with sessions covering:

Generative AI applications

• AI-driven tools for education and research • Best practices for leveraging AI in academic writing and scientific research • Foundational and advanced concepts in data science and data visualization

These workshops introduced participants to innovative methods for integrating technology into teaching, research, and decision-making, equipping them with practical skills for academic and professional advancement. Pedagogical and Professional Development Workshops Beyond AI, workshops focused on broader professional development and student engagement strategies, including: • Inclusive and culturally responsive teaching for diverse student needs • Active learning strategies and course design using technology • Collaborative learning cultures promoting teamwork in classrooms • Cross-cultural communication and professionalism for global competence • Academic research empowerment, guiding participants from ideas to publication

These initiatives strengthened participants’ technical, pedagogical, and professional skills while fostering a more inclusive and innovative academic environment.

The increase in sessions reflects higher demand, a wider range of topics — including AI, teaching innovation, and professional skills — and greater resources dedicated to professional development. Workshops addressed areas such as:

Leadership development

• Technical and pedagogical competencies • Industry-specific knowledge • Essential soft skills, including communication, collaboration, and teamwork

This expansion demonstrates the organization’s responsiveness to evolving industry standards and workforce needs. Consequently, more employees and participants benefited from these learning opportunities, advancing both organizational goals and individual careers. The growth in workshops also aligns with global trends emphasizing continuous learning and skill enhancement to keep pace with rapid professional and technological change.
