OUTDOOR RESORT PALM SPRINGS Membership Survey Vision/Mission Statements/Core Values Page 4

39. The Board doesn't listen to the owners. They ignore the recommendations of the golf committee and golfers and blindly follow their own misguided agenda. They completely ignore the Core Values. They fail to maintain facilities like ignoring washer and dryers that have been broken for a full year while spending money on Pickleball upgrades, allowing a louder ball. They don't have any leadership so they hire consults to tell them they should listen to the owners. I am very disappointed by their behaviour. 40. Although we have never had any contact with the compliance people, we’ve witnessed their behaviour towards others as we walk through the resort and find them to be far too over exuberant and aggressive. It looks like lots of owners are improving their lots and these people seem far too overbearing. 41. What is frustrating is major decisions are made in secret with no input from owners. 42. I think the word “transparency” ought to be included in both the Mission Statement & Core Values. Helps provide an extra level of trust into the picture. It also helps to control suspicions of “hidden personal agendas” from within. 43. Greatly need customer service to improve with employees that deal with owners, guests, and prospective owners and renters. The current personnel greatly lack this.

44.

Pipe dream. All talk. No action.

45. Needs to be cleaner like it used to be. Seemed that so often when we are out walking that you come across debris on the streets, more so these days than in the past. Maintenance staff should not be on their private cell phones while on the job. We see this much too often. 46. I have a problem with some old rules and regulations that I feel need to be looked at. E.g. I have been given notice that the storage unit behind my 5th wheel is too large. Can’t even see it. Received notification in January it had to be removed so I am appealing that and still haven’t heard from anyone. I filed for a permit to cover my wheels and it’s on hold as are other improvements I want to make. More no space. 47. The core values indicate inclusivity however we allow private golf events on the golf course which is not open to all. 48. Vision statement is OK however the inability to make a decision to move the direction the resort requires takes forever and a day. Timely decision making is a must. 49. Our facilities are aging, and appliances are in need of repair. We have more broken laundry machines than working ones, which is a constant complaint. When we have broken resort plumbing, there needs to be more urgency in repair and/or relief, and we don’t currently have that. 50. Perhaps stating something about being modern and updated. 51. I feel the board and management work for THEIR vision not for the people they serve. Pickleball was fun when I ty first started; it is not as inclusive as it first was. I feel also we are policed to death...the people in the green Vests and compliance are always on the prowl...always negative... could maybe stop by and say something looks good. Remember, majority of owners want their Winter Homes to be nice and comfortable.
